Co2 Cartridge for inflation vest for big wave surfing. The cartridge will rapidly inflate the vest when the surfers pull the inflation vest. This helps the surfer get back to the surface if something goes wrong underwater.
The 3/8” thread is the size that screws into the inflator head. (Check the size of your inflator!)

Maintenance:
Unscrew from vest after each session. Rinse both inflator head and cartridge with fresh water to avoid corrosion.

How to load Co2 cartridge into surf inflation vest:
Check if the thread of the Co2 cartridge matches the size of the inflator head. (3/8 inch or 1/2 inch)
Make sure the co2 cartridge is NEW. Check the head to see if there’s a hole or other damage.If there is sort of puncture in the cartridge, don’t use it, just grab an other one. You won’t be the first who loads your inflation vest with an used, empty cartridge…
Make sure the arm that the inflator arm is DOWN before you Co2 cartridges so that the co2 cartridge doesn’t puncture when you screw it in. Most arms are down, but check the pin in the inflator. Make sure it’s in the retracted position, not point out as it does when the pull tab is pulled.
Screw the co2 cartridge in all the way but don’t over tight it.
Check the lines that connect the inflator head, to make sure nothing is tangles and moves freely.
Test all pull tabs by inflating the vest by pulling the tab.
Don’t buy Co2 inflation cartridges in a bike store!
Don’t risk your life by loading your inflation vest with bike tire Co2 cartridges. They are simply not designed to work in the massive power of the ocean.
Bike pump inflation cartridges don’t have to meet these strict regulations, so some are manufactured oversea factories where the supervision and quality control is not as strict. Those cheaper options are likely to drastically increase the change of a cartridge that just doesn’t fire.
Even if you find the right volume and thread size, why would you want to put an inferior product in your life-saving vest, if you venture out in big water?
